Horse Agility

Photo © Gill Langridge
This is a new inhand sport where you take your horse/pony around a set of obstacles, similar to those found at Le Trec competitions.
Gill Langridge has attended 2 Horse Agility training days as a spectator and with her pony - some of her photographs and links to the Horse Agility website can be accessed via this link Horse Agility
Sussex Peggers - Skills at Arms
A modern sport based on age old cavalry disciplines that combine speed, skill and precision.
The range of disciplines includes seeing horses on the “pegging run” at the gallop, with riders striking a 10cm target with either a lance or a sword. In the Skill at Arms arena a steadier canter is needed to negotiate jumps whilst bursting balloons or using a sword to pierce dummies. The combination of highly trained horses and competitive riders creates a spectacle to behold.

Interdressage
Fiona has send this report.
I did my first online competition in January and found the feedback on the test very useful. As well as the normal comments next to each movement, there is a section at the end for tips and advice. I have attached my test just so you can see the sort of tips etc. The entry fee is £10.50. Download the test - Interdressage Test.
You can view my test by going to http://www.interdressage.comand choosing class 2 (I think this will only be viewable until Feb tests are posted). I was awarded 67.39%. The final judging is not yet complete as the class ends today, I am currently sixth but that could change. I have entered as a HDRC member - there is no additional fee or special class you just compete with everyone else but stand a chance to win £125 worth of Ride Away vouches at the end of the league (which does end April 2011). There is page on the Interdressage website for Riding Clubs http://www.interdressage.com/html/brcl.php
